Hi there, hope you’re both recovering from your experiences in the very different world of haMakuya! I’m so glad you were both able to go.
I’ve been chatting to the director of Tshulu, Lara Allen, and told her about your plastic/waste project you started at the homestay. She is really interested in what you’ve done and would like to share the ideas of how to make the mats, and the loom, with other people in the community, particularly schools that have an eco/conservation and environmental focus.
Please could you write a short report about what you did, how and include photos, plus something that explains exactly how to construct the whole thing – like a step by step that someone else would be able to follow. It’s a really brilliant idea, especially to use all that plastic lying around the villages, in a useful way.
Would you be able to send me something fairly soon, so I can pass it on to Lara please?

SvaraRaderaUlla och jag sitter i Balchik i Bulgarien (Ullas "sommarhus") och jobbar med artikel och masteransökan. Vi blir så glada, inspirerade och stolta av att läsa om era projekt och förehavanden. Vi kommer under hösten att göra en utvärdering av Linnaeus-Palme utbytet, där David kommer till Konstfack och några av oss åker till Johannesburg för att bl.a. intervjua lärare och studenter.
